Kentsel yeşil alanlar, kentlerin fiziksel karakterinin oluşmasında belirleyici olup;
getirilmiştir.,Urban green spaces are the determinants of the physical character of cities; they
provide important contributions to cities in terms of functionality and aesthetics. Urban
green spaces are one of the urban areas that make the city spacious and attractive, and
increase the quality of life of the inhabitants with recreational opportunities. The
competence, functional and aesthetic characteristics of the green spaces are as
important as the areas they cover, their distribution throughout the city and their
relations with other urban functions. Therefore, all these indicators will be very
important for determining the planning and design principles of the present and future
urban open-green space system.
In this research, the current situation of the light-green areas in the 22 neighborhoods
of the city of Ordu, Altınordu, was evaluated. In this context; neighborhood parks,
children's playgrounds, sports fields, public spaces, cemeteries, historical buildings
and their surroundings, forested areas, afforestation areas, intersections and refuges,
distribution and amounts of open-green areas in the city, distribution of active green
areas in neighborhood scale, size and percapita falling rates were determined. As a
result of the study, the amount of active green area per person in the city center in 22
neighborhoods should be 10 m² / person according to the standards and 4.19 m² /
person was found to be insufficient according to the standards. As a result, it has been
determined that especially the investigated parks are insufficient in terms of the
planned area and have a low value in terms of population and area distribution.
Suggestions have been made to bring new light-green areas to the city.
