Malatya-Battalgazi Alaca Kapı Mahallesi Mezarlığı’nda Bulunan Osmanlı Mezar Taşları

Abstract

Malatya ili, Battalgazi ilçesi Alacakapı Mahallesi'nde bulunan mezarlıkta Osmanlı dönemine ait 98 mezar, 128 mezar taşı belirlenmiştir. Günümüzde Alacakapı Mahallesi'nde bulunan mezar taşlarının 30'u baş ve ayakucu taşından, 58'i sadece başucu taşından, 3'ü sadece ayakucu taşından, 1'i mezarı oluşturan kapak taşından oluşmaktadır. 6 adet mezar taşının ise zamanla kaybolarak günümüze ulaşamadığı arşivlerde bulunan fotoğraflardan tespit edilmiştir. Eserlerin 47 tanesi erkek, 17 tanesi kadın mezarıdır. 34 eserin ise kimliği tespit edilememiştir. Eserlerin 61'nin tarihi tespit edilirken, 31'nin tarihi tespit edilememiştir. Eserlerin tarih aralığı H.1061/ M. 1622 ile H.1331/ M. 1913'tür. Mezar taşlarının biri 17.yüzyıla, 22'si 18.yüzyıl, 30'u 19.yüzyıla, 8'i 20.yüzyıla aittir. Tamamı volkanik tüf kaya malzemeden yapılmış olan eserler oyma tekniği ile kabartma olarak işlenmiştir. İncelediğimiz mezarlıkta şahideli toprak mezar, çerçeveli şahideli mezar, lahit biçimi şahideli mezar olmak üzere üç tip mezar çeşidi belirlenmiştir. Başlıklar, kavuk, sarık, fes, takke ve kemer formunda tepeliklerden meydana gelmektedir. Mezar taşlarında görülen kitabe metinleri genelde gövde yüzeyine işlenmiştir. Kitabe satırları birbirine paralel düz ya da sağdan sola eğimli satırlar şeklinde yazılmıştır. Bezeme programında geometrik ve nesneli bezeme görülmektedir. Battalgazi Alacakapı Mahallesi mezarlığında bulunan Osmanlı dönemine ait mezar taşları bölgesel özellik taşımaktadır.

A cementery which involved in Malatya province in Battalgazi district in Alacakapı neighborhood, has 98 tombs and 128 tombstones which belong to the Ottoman period.In the results of reviews some stones which have been determined in cementery are understood that they have been mingled with the ground or haven't been happened due to destructions there. In the present, the tombstones in Alacakapı neighborhood occur from 30 head and foot stones, only 58 head stones, only 3 foot stones, a capstone which composes the tomb and a shrine. That 6 tombstones had been lost in course of time and were not been reached today has been determined from the photoes in the archive. 47 pieces of works in the cementery are male, 17 pieces of works in the cementery are female. The identities of 34 work have been determined. When the histories of 61 works were been determined, the histories of 31 weren't been determined. The date ranges of works which were determined the histories are (H.1061). M. 1622. And (H. 1331). M. 1913. Only one piece of tombstone belongs to 17th, 22 pieces of tombstones belong to 18th century, 30 pieces of tombstones belong to 19th century, 8 pieces of tombstones belong to 20th century. In all works which have been made from volanic tuff rock material, linear and glyph techniques have been used. In examined cementery, there tomb types have been determined as tomb with witness, framed and witnessed tomb, sarcophagus and witnessed tomb. Titles occur from turban, skullcap which consisted of circular hoods and arched hoods. Inscription texts in the tombstones have been machined to the body surface in general. Inscription lines have been written as parallel to each other, straight, or curved lines from right to left. In decoration program, geometric ornaments and decorative objects have been found. Witnesses which were found in tombstones in Alacakapı neigborhood which belong to Ottoman period show regional style differences.
