simektit/illit/klorit, simektit/illit/kaolen/halloysit/dikit’te azalma simektit/illit/kaolen/
simektit/illit/kaolen/halloysit/dikit kil tipinde %96’lık ilişki tespit edilmiştir.,This study was carried out to analyze the relations between organic matter content and
clay minerals of soils formed on different parent material in Ordu Province. For this
purpose, a geological map of Ordu 1/120000 scale was utilized, and 50 surface soil
samples were taken from different formations including İkizce, Gülyalı, Akkuş, Aybastı,
Gölköy, Ünye, Fatsa and Perşembe. X-Ray Diffraction analyses were performed in order
to determine physical and chemical characteristics, pH, electrical conductivity, lime,
organic matter, the texture of the clay types. The clay types were compared with
temperature, precipitation and height averages and there is no meaningful relationship
was found. It is identified that the most commonly found clay types in Ordu province are
smectite, illite, kaolin and dickite. Although smectite/illite /chlorite displayed a decrease,
smectite/illite /kaolin /dickite display an increase depending on the height. It is observed
that there is a %65 relationship in smectite/illite /chlorite group depending on height and
organic matter. It was determined that there is a %96 relationship between height and clay
amount in smectite/ıllite/chlorite/ halloysite.
