Zekare Görsel Dikkat Setinin Okul Öncesi Eğitime Devam Eden Çocuklarda Örüntü Becerilerinin Gelişimine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı Zekare Görsel Dikkat Seti'nin okul öncesi eğitime devam eden çocuklarda örüntü becerilerinin gelişimi üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Bu araştırmada, "ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneme modeli" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İstanbul ili Üsküdar İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı bir uygulama anaokulunda 5 yaş grubunda öğrenim gören 38 öğrenci (18 kız, 20 erkek) oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada deney grubundaki çocuklara 12 hafta için her gün çocuğun ilgi ve dikkat seviyesi dikkate alınarak 30-40 dakika süreyle "Zekare Görsel Dikkat Seti" içerisinde yer alan çalışmalar uygulanmıştır. Kontrol grubunda yer alan çocuklar ise normal müfredatları dahilinde eğitimlerine devam etmişlerdir. Verilerin toplanmasında demografik bilgileri de içeren Okul Öncesi Örüntü Becerileri Testi kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS v24 ile R paket programından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda deneme ve kontrol grubunu oluşturan çocukların örüntü becerileri ön test puanları arasında anlamlı farklılık olmadığı (p>.05), deneme grubunu oluşturan çocukların örüntü becerileri ön test-son test puanları arasında son test puanları lehine anlamlı farklılık olduğu (p<.05), kontrol grubunu oluşturan çocukların örüntü becerileri ön test-son test puanları arasında anlamlı farklılık olmadığı (p>.05) tespit edilmiştir. Deneme ve kontrol grubu çocukların örüntü beceriler son test puanlarında Zekare Görsel Dikkat Seti uygulanan deneme grubu lehine anlamlı farklılık (p<05) belirlenmiştir. Deney ve kontrol gruplarının örüntü becerileri ön test puanları kontrol edilerek yapılan son test puan ortalamalarına ait karşılaştırmalar deney grubunda son testte yaşanan artışın Zekare Görsel Dikkat Seti uygulamasından kaynaklandığı saptanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarında, Zekare Görsel Dikkat Setinin okul öncesi dönemdeki çocuklarının örüntü becerileri üzerinde olumlu etkisi olduğunu göstermiştir.

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the "Zesquare Visual Attention Set" on the development of pattern skills in preschool children. The study utilized a "pre-test post-test control group design." The study group consisted of 38 students (18 girls, 20 boys) aged 5, attending a preschool affiliated with the Uskudar District National Education Directorate in Istanbul. In the research, the experimental group underwent activities from the " Zesquare Visual Attention Set" for 30-40 minutes daily over 12 weeks, considering each child's attention and interest level. The control group continued their education following the standard curriculum. Data collection employed the Preschool Pattern Skills Test, which includes demographic information. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS v24 and the R package. The study found no significant difference in pattern skills pre-test scores between the experimental and control groups (p>.05). However, there was a significant improvement favoring the experimental group in pattern skills post-test scores compared to pre-test scores (p<.05). There was no significant difference in pattern skills post-test scores compared to pre-test scores for the control group (p>.05). The comparison of post-test scores between the experimental and control groups showed a significant improvement favoring the experimental group (p<.05), indicating that this improvement was due to the Zesquare Visual Attention Set application. In conclusion, the research results demonstrate a positive effect of the Zesquare Visual Attention Set on pattern skills in preschool children.
