dc.description.abstract In this study, the effects of different vermicompost doses and applications on chlorophyll content and flag leaf development in three different rice cultivars (Oryza sativa L.) were investigated. The study used three different rice cultivars, two different vermicompost applications (foliar and soil), and four different fertilizer doses (0.7, 1.4, 2.1, and 2.8 liters per 100 liters). In this study, the time of measurement was considered as the fourth source of variation, and measurements were made at seven different times. Chlorophyll measurements were made at seven different times, every 10 days, starting from the first leaf formation. The first measurement was made at the beginning of the experiment, and subsequent measurements were made on days 16, 26, 36, 46, 57, and 67. After the plant had completed its development, the flag leaf length (in cm), flag leaf width (in cm), and flag leaf area (in cm(2)) were also measured. The experiment was planned according to a factorial design on randomized plots with 3 replicates. The analysis results showed that the average flag leaf length was 11.92 +/- 2.46 cm, the average flag leaf width was 0.95 +/- 0.07 cm, and the average flag leaf area was 8.45 +/- 1.83 cm(2). Chlorophyll content also varied considerably between measurements made on different days. The application method, time, and dose of vermicompost have been shown to have a significant impact on the amount of chlorophyll and flag leaf area in rice leaves. en_US
