Amaç: Bu araştırma, sağlık kurumlarında, çalışan dostu iş yeri algısının performansa etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipte olan çalışmanın örnekleminde basit tesadüfi (rassal) örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, Ordu İli, Altunordu İlçesi‟nde faaliyette bulunan, dört kamu ve iki özel sağlık kurumunda görev yapan çalışanlara uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, altı sağlık kurumunda görev yapan toplam 3208 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem büyüklüğünün hesaplanmasında “Open Epi Sample Size” hesaplama aracı kullanılmıştır. Hesaplama programında, %95 güven aralığı %5 hata payı ile hesaplanan örneklem büyüklüğünün en az 344 kişi olması gerektiği belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada örneklem grubundan 385 çalışan değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Verilerin toplandığı kişisel bilgi formu, Çalışan Dostu Kurum ve Hastane Ölçeği ve Bireysel Performans Ölçeği, katılımcılar tarafından doldurulmuştur. Çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılan bireylerden elde edilen verilerin analizinde, SPSS, korelasyon analizi, regresyon analizi, t-testi ve One-Way ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır.
Bulgular: Çalışan Dostu Kurum ve Hastane Ölçeği‟nin destek (psikolojik ve sosyal), olanaklar (kültürel ve sportif), çalışma türü ve katılım olmak üzere üç adet alt boyutu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada, yapılan korelasyon testi sonucunda Çalışan Dostu Kurum ve Hastane Ölçeği‟nin alt boyutlarından destek ve çalışma türü ve katılım boyutu ile bireysel performans arasında pozitif yönde bir ilişki tespit edilmiş, olanaklar boyutu ile bireysel performans arasında ilişki tespit edilememiştir. Yapılan regresyon analizi sonucunda destek alt boyutu ve çalışma türü ve katılım alt boyutunun bireysel performansı etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan ANOVA testi sonucunda destek alt boyutunun demografik faktörlerden meslek ve eğitim açısından anlamlı farklılaştığı, deneyim açısından farklılaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Olanaklar alt boyutunun meslek ve eğitim açısından farklılaştığı, deneyim açısından farklılaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma türü ve katılım alt boyutunun ise deneyim açısından farklılaştığı, meslek ve eğitim açısından farklılaşmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan t-testi sonucunda ise destek, olanak ve çalışma türü ve yapısı alt boyutlarının cinsiyet açısından farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışan dostu kurum algısının çalışılan kuruma göre farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Kamu kurumlarında çalışan personelin çalışan dostu iş yeri algısının, özel kurumlardaki personelin çalışan dostu iş yeri algısından yüksek olduğu saptanmış ve bu duruma bağlı olarak özel kurumlardaki personel çalıştıkları iş yerini kamu kurumlarındaki personelden daha fazla dost iş yeri olarak gördüğü tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Çalışma sonucunda, Çalışan Dostu Kurum ve Hastane Ölçeği ile Bireysel Performans Ölçeğinin geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu iki ölçeğin birbirleri arasında pozitif yönde bir ilişki durumu olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışan dostu hastane algısı artıkça bireysel performans artmaktadır. Araştırmaya kamu sağlık kurumlarından 316 kişi, özel sağlık kurumlarından 69 kişi katılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan çalışanların geneline göre çalışan dostu kurum beklentilerinin yaklaşık olarak %84.5 değeriyle yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma yapılan sağlık kurumlarında mevcut çalışan dostu iş yeri oranının, çalışan dostu iş yeri beklentisinden daha düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kamu kurumlarında çalışan personelin özel kurumlarda çalışan personele göre çalışan dostu iş yeri beklentisinin daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma yapılan özel sağlık kurumlarında, kamu sağlık kurumlarına göre çalışan dostluğu oranının az bir fark ile fazla olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda çalışan dostu bir kurum beklentisi, en fazla sağlık personeli ve doktorlarda tespit edilmiş, en az yardımcı sağlık personelinde tespit edilmiştir. Çalıştıkları kurumda çalışan dostluğunun en az olduğunu dile getiren meslek grubu sağlık personeli ve doktorlar, en fazla çalışan dostluğu olduğunu söyleyen yardımcı personeli olmuştur. Cinsiyet açısından bakıldığında çalışan dostu kurum beklentisi kadın çalışanlarda, erkek çalışanlara göre daha fazla olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Erkekler, kadınlara göre çalıştıkları kurumlarda daha fazla çalışan dostluğu olduğunu dile getirmiştir.
Aim: This research was conducted to determine the effect of employee-friendly workplace perception on performance in health institutions. Materials and Methods: Simple random sampling method was used in the sampling of the descriptive study. The study was applied to the employees working in four public and two private health institutions operating in Ordu Province, Altunordu District. The universe of the research consists of 3208 people working in six health institutions. The “Open Epi Sample Size” calculation tool was used to calculate the sample size. In the calculation program, it was determined that the sample size, which was calculated with a 95% confidence interval and a 5% margin of error, should be at least 344 people. In the study, 385 employees from the sample group were evaluated. The personal information form in which the data was collected, the Employee Friendly Institution and Hospital Scale and the Individual Performance Scale were filled in by the participants. SPSS, correlation analysis, regression analysis, t test and One-Way ANOVA test were used in the analysis of the data obtained from individuals who voluntarily participated in the study.
Results: Three sub-dimensions of the Employee-Friendly Institution and Hospital Scale were identified: support (psychological and social), opportunities (cultural and sportive), type of work and participation. In the study, as a result of the correlation test, a positive relationship was determined between the support and type of work and participation dimension, which are sub-dimensions of the Employee-Friendly Institution and Hospital Scale, and individual performance, but no relationship was found between the opportunities dimension and individual performance. As a result of the regression analysis, it was determined that the support sub-dimension and the type of work and participation sub-dimension affect individual performance. As a result of the ANOVA test, it was determined that the support sub-dimension differed significantly from demographic factors in terms of occupation and education, but did not differ in terms of experience. t was determined that the sub-dimension of possibilities differed in terms of profession and education, but did not differ in terms of experience. It was determined that the type of work and participation sub-dimension differed in terms of experience, but did not differ in terms of profession and education. As a result of the t-test, it was determined that the sub-dimensions of support, opportunity and type and structure of work differed in terms of gender. It has been determined that the perception of employee-friendly institution differs according to the institution. It has been determined that the employee-friendly workplace perception of the personnel working in public institutions is higher than the employee-friendly workplace perception of the personnel in private institutions, and depending on this situation, it has been determined that the personnel in private institutions see their workplace as a more friendly workplace than the personnel in public institutions. Conclusion: As a result of the study, it has been determined that the Employee Friendly Institution and Hospital Scale and the Individual Performance Scale are valid and reliable measurement tools. It has been determined that there is a positive relationship between these two scales. As the perception of an employee-friendly hospital increases, individual performance increases. 316 people from public health institutions and 69 people from private health institutions participated in the research. It has been determined that the employee-friendly institution expectations are higher with a value of approximately 84.5% compared to the general staff participating in the research. It has been determined that the current employee-friendly workplace rate in the researched health institutions is lower than the employee-friendly workplace expectation. It has been determined that the staff working in public institutions have higher employee-friendly workplace expectations than the personnel working in private institutions. It has been determined that the rate of employee friendliness is slightly higher in private health institutions, compared to public health institutions.
As a result of the research, the expectation of an employee-friendly institution was determined most in health personnel and doctors, and least in auxiliary health personnel. Occupational health personnel and doctors, who stated that the employee friendliness was the least in the institution they worked for, became the assistant personnel who stated that they had the highest employee friendliness. In terms of gender, it has been determined that the expectation of an employee-friendly institution is higher in female employees than in male employees. Compared to women, men stated that they have more employee friendliness in the institutions they work for.
