İlkokul 4. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Sosyal Bilgiler Dersinde Toplumsal Cinsiyet Eşitliğine Yönelik Farkındalıklarının Gelişimi: Bir Durum Çalışması

Abstract

Araştırmada ilkokul dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğine yönelik farkındalıklarını ve duyarlılıklarını incelemek, onlara eşitlikçi bir bakış açısı kazandırmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemi ve araştırma deseni olarak durum çalışması çerçevesinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Ordu ilinde bir özel eğitim kurumunda dördüncü sınıfta öğrenimlerine devam eden 10 kız ve 14 erkek toplam 24 öğrenci, amaçlı örnekleme türlerinden uygun örnekleme yöntemine göre seçilmiştir. Söz konusu çalışma kapsamında çalışma grubuna yönelik her hafta 1 ders saati (40 dk) olmak üzere dört hafta sürecek bir dizi etkinlikten oluşan atölye programı uygulanmıştır. Atölye programı sonucunda elde edilen veriler MaxQDA nitel veri analiz programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmada ulaşılan sonuçlara göre: ilkokul dördüncü sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersinde toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliği kapsamında öğrencilere yönelik tasarlanıp uygulanan atölyeler ile öğrencilerin toplumsal cinsiyet eşitliğine dair farkındalık durumlarının, görüş ve düşüncelerinin olumlu yönde değişim gösterdiği ortaya konmuştur.

In the research, it was aimed to examine the awareness and sensitivity of primary school fourth grade students towards gender equality and to give them an egalitarian perspective. This research was carried out within the framework of case study as a qualitative research method and research design. A total of 24 students, 10 girls and 14 boys, who were studying in the fourth grade in a private education institution in Ordu in the 2021-2022 academic year, were selected as the study group of the research, according to the convenient sampling method, one of the purposive sampling types. Within the scope of the said study, a workshop program consisting of a series of activities that will last for four weeks, 1 lesson hour (40 minutes) each week, was applied to the study group. The data obtained as a result of the workshop program were analyzed using the MaxQDA qualitative data analysis program. According to the results of the research: It has been revealed that the awareness status, views and thoughts of the students about gender equality have changed positively with the workshops designed and implemented for students within the scope of gender equality in the primary school fourth grade social studies course.
