Giresun İli Bulancak ilçesinde doğal olarak yayılım gösteren kocayemiş (Arbutus
spp.) tiplerinin, pomolojik, kimyasal ve biyokimyasal özellikleri incelenmiştir. Tespit
edilen 20 adet genotip üzerinde yapılan incelemeler sonucunda; meyve ağırlığı 2.39-
4.69 g, meyve eni 16.85-20.62 mm, meyve boyu 14.52-17.29 mm, pH 3.36-3.88,
SÇKM %11.60-%19.60 olarak belirlenmiştir. Kocayemiş genotipleri içerisindeki
suda çözünen şekerlerden glikoz, sakkaroz, fruktoz ve toplam şeker miktarları
incelenmiş ve sırasıyla 2.32-8.34 g.100 g-1, 0.02-1.93 g.100 g-1, 3.08-17.93 g.100 g-1,
ve 7.47-27.51 g.100g-1 değerleri elde edilmiştir. Kocayemiş meyvelerinin C vitamini
miktarı 13.53-126.60 mg/100 g, sitrik asit miktarı %0.16-%0.69 ve malik asit miktarı
ise %0.27-%1.30 aralığında tespit edilmiştir.,The pomological, chemical and biochemical properties of arbutus species (Arbutus

g-1 and 7.47-27.51 g.100g-1 values were obtained. The amount of vitamin C contained
in the fruits of Kocayemiş was determined as 13.53-126, 60 mg / 100 g, the amount
of citric acid was 0.16-0.69% and the amount of malic acid was 0.27- 1.30%.
