Bilim Kurgu Sinemasında Yapay Zekâ-İnsan Etkileşimi: Aşk Temalı Filmlerin Analizi

Abstract

Sinemanın edebiyattan miras aldığı bilim kurgu türü, sinemanın ilk ortaya çıktığı yıllardan bugüne değin sinema anlatımı içerisinde önemli bir yere sahip olmuştur. Kendi içerisinde de alt türlere ayrılan bilim kurgu, olası senaryoları ile geleceğe ışık tutma misyonu üstlenmiştir. Bilim kurgu türü ve anlatımı içinde teknoloji ise vazgeçilmez unsurlardan biridir. Çalışmanın bel kemiğini, aynı şekilde bir ileri teknoloji öğesi olan yapay zekâlar oluşturmaktadır. Bilim kurgu sineması tarihi boyunca yapay zekâlara insanlarla etkileşiminde dost, düşman, yardımcı, sevgili ve hatta evlat gibi farklı roller verildiği görülmüştür. Ancak yapay zekâlar en çok dünyayı ele geçirme ve insan ırkına son verme potansiyelleri ile anılarak korkunun bir parçası olmuştur. Buna rağmen özellikle 2010 sonrası Hollywood yapımlarında ‘âşık olunan’ konumlarıyla tekrar seyirci karşısına çıkmaya başlamışlardır. Bahsedilen aşklar, çalışma boyunca “Her” (2013), “The Machine” (2013), “Transcendence” (2014), “Ex Machina” (2014) ve “Uncanny” (2015) örneklem filmleri üzerinden ele alınacaktır. Söz konusu filmler incelendiğinde ortaya çıkan ortak temalar gözlemlenmiştir: “Aşk ve Cinsellik”, “Teknoloji”, “Yalnızlık”, “Beden”, “Öğrenme”, “Şiddet”, “Yalan”, “Yaratıcı”, “Gözetim” ve “Ölüm”. Bu ortak temalar üzerinden yapay zekâ ve insan arasında gerçekleşen aşkın ne şekilde işlendiği, söz konusu aşkların ne anlama geldiği çalışmada açıklanmaya çalışılacaktır.

Science fiction genre which was inherited by cinema from literature has had an important place in film-making narration since cinema first came into existence until today. Science fiction, divided into subgenres within itself, has undertaken the mission of shedding light on the future with its possible scenarios. Technology is one of the indispensable elements in science fiction type and narration. Artificial intelligence, which is an advanced technology element in the same way, constitutes the background of the study. Throughout the history of science fiction cinema, it has been shown that artificial intelligences have given different roles in interacting with people, such as friends, enemies, helper, lovers and even children. However, artificial intelligences have been referred to mostly with their potential to seize the world and end human race and have become the part of horror. Nevertheless, they have started to appear again before the audience with their 'fallen for' positions especially in Hollywood productions after 2010. These mentioned loves will be addressed throughout the study through sample movies such as “Her” (2013), “The Machine” (2013), “Transcendence” (2014), “Ex Machina” (2014) and “Uncanny” (2015). When the subject movies are examined, the common themes that come to light have been observed: “Love and Sexuality”, “Technology”, “Loneliness”, “Body”, “Learning”, “Violence”, “Lie”, “Creator”, “Observance” and “Death”. Through these common themes, it will be tried to explain in what way artificial intelligence and love realized between human beings are processed, what the subject loves mean
