Türkiye’de sosyal bilgiler eğitiminde tarih konularının öğretiminin önemli
bir yeri olduğu aşikârdır. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı, Türkiye’de sosyal
bilgiler eğitiminde tarih konularının öğretimi adına yayımlanan makaleleri ve bu
makalelerin eğilimlerini belirlenen değişkenler çerçevesinde detaylı olarak
incelemektir. Araştırmanın amacına uygun olarak makalelerin incelenmesinde
eğilimlerin belirlenmesi için meta sentez yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada
doküman incelemesine tabi tutulan 225 makaleye Google Akademik, TR Dizin ve
Dergi Park veri kaynaklarından ulaşılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde araştırmanın alt
amaçları doğrultusunda araştırmaya dâhil edilen her bir makaleye ilişkin bir künye
belgesi hazırlanmıştır. Makalelerin künyelerinden elde edilen veriler MAXQDA
2020 profesyonel nitel veri analiz programında kategoriler oluşturularak
kodlanmıştır. Araştırmaya dâhil edilen makaleler; yayım yılı, yayımlandığı dergi,
konu, amaç, çalışma grubu ya da örneklem, yöntem, veri toplama aracı, veri analiz
yöntemi, sonuç ve öneriler şeklinde kategorilere ayrılmış ve makalelere betimsel
analiz uygulanmıştır.
Araştırma sonucunda en fazla makalenin 2020 yılında yapıldığı, incelenen
makalelerin çoğunlukla birbirini tekrarlayan çalışmalar olduğu ve genel itibarı ile
on iki farklı konu etrafında yoğunlaştığı ifade edilebilir. Hazırlanan makalelerde en
çok tercih edilen konular “sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında yer alan tarih konularının
içerik, işleniş ve müfredat programlarının araştırılması” şeklindedir. En az tercih
edilen konuların ise ilköğretim öğrencilerinde tarihsel zaman kavramı ve tarih
konulu tezlerin incelenmesi şeklinde olduğu söylenebilir. Bunun yanında incelenen
makalelerde en çok nitel araştırma yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı, en fazla makalenin
yayımlandığı derginin ise “Turkish History Education Journal” olduğu sonucuna
ulaşılmıştır. Makalelerde en çok tercih edilen veri toplama aracının görüşme formu
olduğu sonucuna ulaşılırken, en çok önerinin ise eğitimin uygulayıcısı olan
öğretmenlere getirildiği tespit edilmiştir.
It is obvious that teaching history subjects has an important place in social
studies education in Turkey. In this context, the aim of the research is to examine
in detail the articles published in the name of teaching history subjects in social
studies education in Turkey and the trends of these articles within the framework
of the determined variables. In accordance with the purpose of the research, the
meta-synthesis method was used to determine the trends in the examination of the
articles. 225 articles that were subject to document review in the research were
accessed from Google Scholar, TR Index and Dergi Park data sources. In the
analysis of the data, an imprint document was prepared for each article included in
the research in line with the sub-purposes of the research. The data obtained from
the tags of the articles were coded by creating categories in the MAXQDA 2020
professional qualitative data analysis program. The articles included in the research;
Year of publication, journal in which it was published, subject, purpose, study
group or sample, method, data collection tool, data analysis method, results and
suggestions were divided into categories and descriptive analysis was applied to the
articles.
As a result of the research, it can be stated that the most articles were made
in 2020, the articles examined were mostly repetitive studies and generally
concentrated around twelve different topics. The most preferred topics in the
prepared articles are "investigation of the content, processing and curriculum of the
history topics in the social studies textbooks". It can be said that the least preferred
subjects are the concept of historical time in primary school students and the
examination of theses on history. In addition, it was concluded that the most
qualitative research methods were used in the articles examined and the journal in
which the most articles were published was the "Turkish History Education
Journal". While it was concluded that the most preferred data collection tool in the
articles was the interview form, it was determined that the most suggestions were
made to the teachers who are the implementers of the education.
