107 ve 26 GY 114 nolu tipler ümitvar bulunmuştur.,The research was carried out in the neighborhoods and villages of Günyüzü district
of Eskişehir province between the years of 2016-2017. More than 500 trees were
examined in the walnut population grown from seed in the region. According to the
investigations, 138 nut samples were taken from the tree. Phenological,
morphological, pomological and chemical characteristics were investigated in that
selected nut samples.
According to the two-year average data of the types examined; nut weights 6.65 g to
18.88 g, kernel weights 2.73 g to 10.17 g, kernel pertences %32.00 to %67.87, shell
thicknesses 0.95 mm to 2.05 mm, nut size 26.56 mm to 48.59 mm, nut width 24.57
mm to 38.93 mm, nut lengths 27.64 mm to 49.51 mm, nut thickness varied between
25.06 mm and 40.33 mm.
In this study conducted for two years; As a result of examinations, observations and
weighted grading method, 4 walnut types were selected as promising. In the selected
genotypes, the type 26 GY 114 gained value both in the walnut and in shell walnut.
According to the two-year average data of selected types; nut weights; 18.88 g (26
GY 106) - 15.13 g (26 GY 114, 26 GY 107), kernel weights; 10.17 g (26 GY 114) -
8.02 g (26 GY 107), kernel percentes; %47.74 (26 GY 56) - %67.87 (26 GY 114),
shell tickness; 1.26 mm (26 GY 107) - 1.70 mm (26 GY 56), fruit width; 27.37 mm
(26 GY 107) - 38.93 mm (26 GY 106), fruit lengths; 29.95 mm (26 GY 107.3 - 41.36
mm (26 GY 56, 26 GY 114), fruit thickness 27.73 mm (26 GY 107) - 40.33 mm (26
GY 114), protein contents; %18.71 (26 GY 106) - %22.63 (26 GY 56), and the oil
contents was found between; %66.96 (26 GY 56) and %69.63 (26 GY 107). 3 of the
selected types showed protandry and one of them showed homogamy character.
As a result; 26 GY 56, 26 GY 106, 26 GY 107 and 26 GY 114 types were found to
be promising.
