mg/100 g nitrat birikimi ile % 100 Perlit ortamı en yüksek nitrat değerini vermiştir.,This study was carried out in laboratories of Ordu University Faculty of
Agriculture, Department of Horticulture and Merzifon Agricultural Credit
Cooperative's greenhouses during 2013-2014 production season.
In the study, peat, perlite media, 2:1 peat/perlite, 1:1 peat/perlite and 1:2 peat/perlite
mixtures were used as growing media. Prepared growing media filled to 50x18x16
cm balcony type pot. The study was carried out with 3 replicates in randomized plot
design and seeds of standard purslane seeds (Portulaca oleracea L.) were used. The
seeds were sown on 06.04.2013 with a calculation of 0.6 g/m2
. Throughout the
study, all cultural processes were carried out to ensure that the crops reached
marketable harvest size. The crops were harvested on 24.05.2013. The yield, shoot
height, shoot diameter, leaf color (hue and chroma values), oxalic acid and nitrate
contents were determined in the harvested plants.
Plant yields varied between 1957-3113 g/m2
depending on the growing media.
Parallel to the humic acid application dose, plant yield increased by 6.21-12.08%.
Similarly, the shoot height, shoot diameter and leaf oxalic acid contents increased
with humic acid applications. The highest shoot diameter values were determined at
2:1 peat/perlite media while 1:1 peat/perlite media gave the highest shoot length
values in terms of media. Leaf nitrate contents were determined with 1512 mg/100
g in the lowest 1:1 peat/perlite medium. The highest nitrate value was determined
with 2343 mg/100 g nitrate content in 100% perlite medium.
