Abstract: Bu tez çalışmasında, Ordu ili ve ilçelerinde yapımı devam eden el sanatları ve ustaları incelenmiştir. Kültürel mirasımız olan el sanatları günümüz şartlarında yok olma tehlikesiyle karşı karşıyadır. Ordu İlinde Yaşayan El Sanatları ve Sanatkârları adlı bu çalışmada hedeflenen tarihi değerlerimizi yaşatmak, gelecek kuşaklara aktarmaktır. Yapılan literatür taramaları ve alan çalışmalarında ilgili belge ve kişilere ulaşılmıştır. Varlığı devam eden sanatlar kullanılan malzemeler bakımından ahşap sanatı, maden sanatı, dokuma sanatı, taş işçiliği, kemik işlemeciliği ve deri işlemeciliği başlıkları altında toplanmıştır. Tespiti sağlanan sanatlar yapım teknikleri, yapım aşamaları ve süsleme özellikleri vurgulanarak ele alınmıştır. Yapılan alan çalışmalarında, içinde bulunulan salgın Covid-19 sebebiyle bazı ustalar görüşmeyi kabul etmemiş, bazı ustalar ise ilerleyen yaşı sebebiyle mesleğe devam edemediklerinden görüşmek istememişlerdir. Toplamda 17 el sanatı ustası ile görüşme sağlanmıştır. Ustaların biyografisinin ardından meslek geçmişleri hakkında bilgiler verilmiş ve meslekten beklentilerinden bahsedilmiştir.
In this thesis, the handicrafts which are still performed in Ordu province and the hand-workers are examined. Handicrafts, which are our cultural heritage, are in danger of extinction in today’s conditions. The aim of this study, named Handicrafts and Craftsmen Living in Ordu Province, is to keep our historical values alive and transfer them to future generations. Relevant documents and people have been reached through literature reviews and field studies. Considering the materials used, the arts which are still performed can be grouped under the headings of woodworking, metalworking, weaving, stonework, bone processing and leather processing. The identified arts are discussed by emphasizing the construction teehniques, construction stages and ornamental features. In the field studies, some artists did not accept to meet due to the current epidemic Covid-19, and some artists did not want to meet because they do not continue their profession due to their old age. A total of 17 handicraft masters were interviewed. After the biography of the artists, information about their professional background and their expectations from the profession are mentioned.
