2093 Numaralı Kızılkoca Nüfus Defteri’nin Transkripsiyon ve Değerlendirmesi

Abstract

Osmanlı Devleti modern olarak nitelendirilen ilk nüfus sayımını 1830-1831 yılında yaptı. Bu sayımın bir sonucu olarak meydana çıkan nüfus defterleri, tarih ilmiyle uğraşan araştırmacılar için araştırmalarında kullanacakları büyük bir öneme sahip arşiv belgeleri oldu. Bahsedilen defterler, düzenlendiği bölgelerin ve düzenlendikleri yılların nüfus, ekonomik ve sosyolojik durumuna dair zengin bilgiler sunar. Nüfus defterlerinin düzenlendiği bölgelerin yönetim yapısı, buralarda kurulan yerleşim yerlerinin isimleri, buralarda yaşayan kişilerin isimleriyle bölge halkı tarafından kendilerine verilen lakapları yine erkek nüfusun miktarı ve bunların askerlikle ilgili durumları, vergiye tabi mükellefler, doğum ve ölüm tarihleri, bölgede meydana gelen nüfus hareketleri gibi birçok hususiyeti söz konusu defterler sayesinde öğrenmekteyiz. Bu bilgilerin yer aldığı 2093 numaralı Kızılkoca kazasının nüfus defteri de 1845 tarihindeki istatistikleri içerir. Bu defterde yer alan Müslüman nüfusla ilgili kayıtları yeniyazıya aktarılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Böylece hem bölge tarihine ışık tutmak hem de nüfus defterleri üzerinde yapılacak çalışmalara kaynak özelliği taşınması amaçlanmıştır.

The first census which was described as modern in the Ottoman Empire was performed in 1830-1831. The population books, which emerged as a natural product of the census, which is described as the first modern census, have a great importance in history research. These books provide extensive information about the demographic economic and sociological structure of the period. The administrative structure of the region, the men mentioned before whose colors, the shape of beard and mustache, the shape of their some distinctive physical appearence, their ages, roughly their height, relationship between the relatives of head of the families, the names of the settlements, the names and moniker information of the people, the number of male population and military service, the date of birth and death of the taxpayers, the population movements can be learned through the population books. The population book of the city of Kızılkoca, numbered 2091, contains statistics information of 1840. It is aimed to shed light on the history of the region and to be the source of the works to be done on the population property books, the transcription of recordings made in this book about the Muslim population.
