Prens Sabahattin’in Siyaset Felsefesi

Abstract

Prens Sabahattin, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun son döneminde etkili olan bir düşünür, yazar ve siyasetçidir. Siyasi düşünceleri, Osmanlı'nın modernleşme sürecinde önemli bir yer tutmuş ve dönemin siyasi tartışmalarına yön vermiştir. Prens Sabahattin, İttihat ve Terakki Cemiyeti'ne karşı durmuş ve onların siyasi anlayışını eleştirmiştir. Ona göre, İttihat ve Terakki'nin tekçi ve merkeziyetçi politikaları, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun etnik ve dini çeşitliliğini göz ardı ederek birlik ve beraberlik ilkesine zarar vermiştir. Prens Sabahattin, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun çok kültürlü yapısını korumayı ve imparatorluğun tüm unsurlarını bir arada tutmayı savunmuştur. Ona göre, imparatorluk içindeki farklı topluluklar arasında eşitlik ve adaletin sağlanması, güçlü bir Osmanlı kimliğinin oluşmasına yardımcı olacaktır. Prens Sabahattin, hukukun üstünlüğünü ve anayasal düzeni savunmuştur. Ona göre, devletin sınırları belirleyen bir anayasaya ihtiyacı vardır ve devlet, hukukun üstünlüğü ilkesiyle yönetilmelidir. Prince Sabahattin is a thinker, writer and politician who was influential in the last period of the Ottoman Empire. His political thoughts had an important place in the modernization process of the Ottoman Empire and shaped the political debates of the period. Prince Sabahattin stood against the Committee of Union and Progress and criticized their political understanding. According to him, the monist and centralist policies of the Committee of Union and Progress, by ignoring the ethnic and religious diversity of the Ottoman Empire, damaged the principle of unity and solidarity. Prince Sabahattin defended the rule of law and the constitutional order. According to him, the state needs a constitution that defines borders and the state should be governed by the rule of law. The provision of justice and equal legal protection of all constitute the basis of the social order. Prince Sabahattin has a mindset that cares about economic development and welfare. He believed that social welfare would increase with the development of modern agriculture, industry and trade.
