dc.description.abstractGüney-Doğu Karadeniz kıyılarında (Ünye/ORDU) yürütülen bu çalışmada, dip paragatı ile avcılıkta iğne büyüklüğü ve yem çeşidinin av miktarı ve av kompozisyonuna etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla 2, 4, 6, 8 ve 10 numara büyüklüğünde iğnelerin her birinden 20 adet kullanılmak suretiyle toplam 100 iğneli bir paragat takımı oluşturulmuştur. Mart 2017 - Şubat 2018 tarihleri arasında yapılan avcılık denemelerinde, iğnelerin her bir boyutunun (2, 4, 6, 8 ve 10 numara) 5’i istavrit, 5’i tavuk göğsü, 5’i kalamar ve 5’i mezgit balığı eti ile yemlenmiştir. Araştırma süresince toplam 24 operasyonda 2.400 iğne ile avcılık yapılmıştır. Bu operasyonlarda dört balık türüne mensup toplam 386 balık avlanmıştır. Denemelerde toplam 373 mezgit, Merlangius merlangus; 6 kayabalığı, Neogobius melanostomus; 4 iskorpit, Scorpaena porcus; 2 izmarit, Spicara smaris ve 1 vatoz, Raja clavata yakalanmıştır. Toplam avın %96.6’sı mezgit, %1.6’sı kayabalığı, %1’i iskorpit, %5’i izmarit ve %0.3’ü vatoz balığıdır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre en fazla mezgit balığı 2 numaralı iğnede yakalanmıştır. Paragat takımında yakalanan toplam avın %96.6’sını oluşturan mezgit balığı av miktarı bakımından, sekiz numaralı iğne hesaba katılmaz ise iğne numarası büyüdükçe, bir başka ifadeyle iğne küçüldükçe, avlanan mezgit balığı miktarının azaldığı belirlenmiştir. İğne büyüklüğünün av verimin yanısıra avlanan mezgit balıklarının büyüklükleri üzerinde de etkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Özellikle 2 numara iğne ile yakalanan mezgit balıklarının ortalama büyüklüğü ile 6, 8 ve 10 numara iğnelerde yakalanan mezgit balıklarının ortalama büyüklükleri arasında önemli farklılıklar olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırmada hesaplanan YPUE (g iğne-1) değerlerine göre, en fazla mezgit balığı kalamar eti ile yemlenmiş iğnelerde yakalanmıştır. Bu yem çeşidini sırasıyla istavrit ve tavuk göğsü izlemiştir. Mezgit balığı eti ile yemlenen iğnelerde ise diğer yemlere göre çok daha az miktarda mezgit balığının avlandığı saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, bu araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre Güney-Doğu Karadeniz’de yapılacak dip paragatı ile avcılıkta iğne olarak 2 numara veya daha büyük iğneler kullanılmalıdır. Yem olarak ise, kullanılan yem çeşitleri dikkate alındığında, kalamar eti kullanılmalı, alternatif olarak da istavrit balığı eti ve tavuk göğsü de yem olarak kullanılabilir.,In this study carried out on the south-eastern coast of the Black Sea (Ünye / ORDU), effects of hook size and bait type on the catch amount and composition were investigated in the bottom longline fishing. For this purpose; a longline set was prepared using 5 hooks from each of the 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 numbered hook sizes. In the fishing trials conducted between March 2017 and February 2018, five of each hook sizes were baited with mediterranean horse mackerel, Trachurus mediterraneus, chicken breast, squid, Loligo sp. and whiting, Merlangius merlangus. During the trials, 2,400 hooks were used in total 24 operations. A total of 386 fish belonging to four fish species were caught in these operations. In the trials, a total of 373 whiting, Merlangius merlangus; 6 round goby, Neogobius melanostomus; 4 black scorpionfish, Scorpaena porcus; 2 picarel, Spicara smaris and 1 thornback ray, Raja clavata were caught. %96.6, %1.6, %1, %0.5 and %0.03 of the total catch were whiting, black scorpionfish, picarel and thornback ray, respectively. According to the results of the research, the most whiting was caught in the number 2 hook. In terms of the whiting catch which comprised to %96.6 of the total catch, the whiting catch increased with increasing hook size from 10 to 2 (except for 8). Hook size was found to have an effect on the average size of whiting caught as well as catch amount. In particular, there were significant differences between the average size of the whiting caught with the number 2 hook and the average sizes of the whiting caught with the number 6, 8 and 10 hooks. According to the YPUE (g needle-1) values calculated in the study, the most whiting was caught in squid meat-baited hooks. This bait type was followed by mediterranean and chicken breast. In the hooks baited with whiting meat, it was found that much less whiting was caught compared to other baits. As a result, according to the results of this study, the 2 numbered or larger hooks should be used in the bottom longline fishing in the south-eastern coast of the Black Sea. When the feed types used are taken into consideration, squid meat should be used as a bait. Alternatively, mediterranean horse mackerel meat and chicken breast should be also used as bait in the bottom longline fishing.en_US
