Abstract: Bu çalışmada amel-ceza bağlamında amel defteri konusu işlenirken, öncelikle iman kavramı ele alınmıştır.
This article, firstly, concerns about the notion of faith while dealing with the context of deeds and punishment in the book of record of deeds.( All good and bad deeds, words, beliefs and views of man are recorded in a scroll by the angels appointed on him by the Almighty Allah.) There are verses that state that the deeds without faith have no value. It is stated in verses that only man can be saved by faith and righteousness by emphasizing the relationship between faith and good deeds. There are also verses that indicate the reward of good deeds and the punishment(cezası) of bad deeds. In the Qur'an, the verses that express the concept of deeds, the words of the book and suhuf are mentioned, and the interpretations of the commentators about these verses are discussed. The angels in charge of writing the deeds are mentioned. The comments about siccîn and illiyyîn, which is the place where the deeds were written, are explained. The verses that indicate the status of the people given their deed records from their right and left are included. The situation of those who deny what they have done is witnessed by the witness of the earth itself, even by the expression of their limbs . It is understood from the verses that the deeds are presented to the owners, and the deeds and the balance will be evaluated and the place of everyone in the Hereafter will be determined accordingly. Every deed has an equivalent. All deeds are recorded, these records will appear in the Hereafter. At the end of the assessment, the place of eternal life will be determined according to deeds. This reveals the importance of the good deeds. Knowing that the deeds record everything plays an important role in guiding people to good and distancing them from evil.
