Abstract: Türkiye’de politik sinemanın bir alt türü biçiminde tanımlanan “12 Eylül Filmleri”nde, döneme ilişkin ürünlerin yoğun olarak Türk Solu’nun argümanlarından beslendiği gözlenmektedir.
In the “September 12 th movies” described as the subtype of political cinema in Turkey, it is observed that the movies related to that period are fed intensively by the arguments of Turkish Left. It brings out a prejudiced corpus that there are very few movie samples that have idealistic movement, which is the most important side of the period. The movies “Kafes-The Cage” (2015) and “Ankara Summer - A letter of Farewell” (20016) that begin to play lately show that a new language (approach) need has been formed. The origin of the “Idealistic Cinema” dates back to 1978 with the movie “Güneş Ne Zaman Doğacak -When Will the Sun Rise” and it is possible to describe it as a new political cinema type. From 1950s, together with Turkey's political, social and cultural transformation, our cinema has also been effected by this period. But the comments made on the interests of the idealistic movement during the period mentioned went up in the air, even weren't seen. It is important in that respect that some articles related to the importance of cinema art were put on the the election declarations of during both MHP and CKMP periods In the same way, the increase of interests to cinema on the idealistic publications from 1970s and the declaration of a bulletin titled as “National Idealist Cinema Front” in 1976 by the Social and Cultural Department of Idealistic Association need to be analysed in terms of cinema and politics relations. In this study, it is aimed how the idealistic movement see the Military Coup of September 12, together with the increase and developing interests of The idealistic Movement to the cinema.
