Objective: Viral hepatitis continues to be among the major health problems today. It's one of the leading causes of healthcare associated infections. Parenteral transmissions of hepatitis B and hepatitis C infections occur mostly by occupational accidents which are known to be commonly seen during the education periods and first years of occupation. Although the risk of hepatitis A infection among healthcare workers is not higher than general population, as the number of susceptible individuals increases, the risk of infection also rises. Study aimed to evaluate the immune status of medical career college students Materials and Methods: In our study, 200 medical career college students screened for viral hepatitis before practical training are retrospectively evaluated. Results: Our results showed that, there is no positivity for HBsAg and anti-HCV while anti-HBs positivity was 89% and anti-HAV IgG positivity was 39.5%. Conclusion: As a result, the health workers and students in the healthcare programs should be screened for viral hepatitis and immunized for Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B prior to clinical practice.en_US
