Adıyaman Müzesi’ndeki Osmanlı Dönemi Sikkeleri

Abstract

Adıyaman şehri tarih boyunca pek çok millete ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Dolayısı ile bu kültürlerden günümüze ulaşan sanat eserleriyle şehir adeta bir açık hava müzesidir. Çalışmanın kapsamını Adıyaman Müzesi’ndeki Osmanlı dönemi sikkeleri oluşturmaktadır. Öncelikle Adıyaman’ın coğrafyası, tarihçesi ve Adıyaman Müze’si hakkında kısa bilgiler verilmiş, Osmanlı dönemine kadar sikkenin gelişimi ve daha sonra Osmanlı dönemi sikkeleri ayrıntılı bir şekilde anlatılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında, II. Murad, II. Beyazıt, Kanuni Sultan Süleyman, III. Murat, Sultan İbrahim, Sultan IV. Mehmet, Sultan II. Süleyman, Sultan II. Mustafa, III. Ahmed, I. Mahmud, III. Osman, III. Mustafa, I. Abdülhamit, III. Selim, II. Mahmud, Abdülmecit, Abdülaziz, II. Abdülhamit, V. Mehmed Reşat ve VI. Mehmed Vahideddin dönemi sikkeleri yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada 801 adet sikke incelenmiş ve katalog bölümü 66 adet sikkeden oluşmaktadır. Katalog bölümünde sikkeler gruplandırılmış her bir grubu temsil edecek şekilde bir sikke tanıtılmış ve benzer örneklerinin envanter numarası verilmiştir. Seçilen en iyi durumdaki sikkenin fotoğrafı, çizimi, ölçüleri, üzerinde yer alan yazılar ve süslemesi ile beraber ayrıntılı tasnifi yapılmıştır. Değerlendirme bölümünde her bir padişaha ait bütün sikkeler genel olarak ele alınmış ve yine her bir padişah dönemine ait tablo oluşturulmuştur. Süsleme, tuğra ve yazı, malzeme ve teknik başlıkları altında da bütün sikkeler değerlendirilmiş ve Sanat Tarihine yeni bilimsel bir çalışma kazandırılmaya çalışılmıştır.

The city of Adıyaman has hosted many nations throughout history. Therefore, the city is almost an open air museum with the works of art that have survived from these cultures. The subject of our thesis is of Ottoman era coins in the Adıyaman Museum. The development of the coins was given until the Ottoman period, and then the coins of Ottoman period were described in detail. In our thesis, Murad II, Beyazıt II, Süleyman the Magnificent, Murad III, Sultan İbrahim, Sultan Mehmed IV, Sultan Süleyman II, Sultan Mustafa II, Ahmed III, Mahmud I, III. Osman, III. Mustafa, I. Abdülhamit, III. Selim, II. Mahmud, Abdülmecit, Abdülaziz, II. Abdülhamit, V. Mehmed Reşat and VI. Coins of the Mehmed Vahieddin period are located. In our thesis, 801 coins were examined and the catalog section consists of 66 coins. In the catalog section, coins are grouped together and a coin is introduced to represent each group and the inventory number of similar samples is given. The selected coin in the best condition has been detailed with its photograph, drawing, measurements, inscriptions and decoration. In the evaluation section, all the coins belonging to each sultan were discussed in general and the table of each sultan's period was created. All coins were evaluated under the headings of ornamentation, tugra and writing, material and technique and a new scientific study was tried to be brought to Art History.
