Cihadiye Ordusu ve Mısır’da Türk Subayları

Abstract

Tez çalışması olarak seçtiğimiz “Cihâdiye Orduları ve Mısır’da Türk Subayları” konusu hakkında daha önce detaylı bir çalışma yapılmamış olup mevcut eksilik değerlendirilerek konu hakkında detaylı bir araştırma yapılabileceği kanaatine varılmıştır. Daha önce Mısır meselesi ve Mehmet Ali Paşa hakkında birçok yazılı eser kaleme alınmış olmasına rağmen Mısır’da yapılan askeri ıslahatlara, kurulan Cihâdiye ordularının yapısına ve bu yenileşmenin Osmanlı Devleti’ne etkilerine yeterince yer verilmemiş, Mısır meselesi genel itibariyle sebep ve sonuç bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Bu tez çalışmasında: Bir Osmanlı eyalet valisinin, nasıl merkezden daha güçlü bir askeri kuvvete sahip olmayı başardığı ve bu askeri yenileşmenin hangi aşamalardan geçtiği araştırılmış. Mehmet Ali Paşa’nın tasarladığı ordu yapısında, üst kademe subayların Türklerden oluşması, Mısır’da elit bir Osmanlı yönetim zümresinin yerleşmesinin sebepleri, etkileri ve sonuçları değerlendirilmiştir. Tezin ilk bölümünde Mehmet Ali Paşa’nın iktidara gelişinden, otoritesini tahsis ettiği sürece kadar yaşanan hadiseler ele alınmış. İkinci bölümde askeri alandaki ıslahatlar, Cihâdiye orduları ve Türk subaylarına yer verilmiştir. Son bölümde ise Cihâdiye ordularının, savaşlardaki kabiliyetleri ve değişimi değerlendirilmiş, Türk subaylarının neden olduğu hadiseler neticesinde Arabi Paşa’nın faaliyetleri ve İngiliz işgali anlatılmıştır.

There has not been a detailed study on the subject of "Jihadiye Armies and Turkish Officers in Egypt", which we have chosen as our thesis study, and it has been concluded that a detailed research can be done on the subject by evaluating the existing deficiency. Although many written works have been written about the Egyptian issue and Mehmet Ali Pasha, but the military reforms made in Egypt, the structure of the Jihadiye armies established and the effects of this innovation on the Ottoman Empire have not been sufficiently included, and the Egyptian issue has generally been evaluated in the context of cause and effect. In this thesis: This thesis investigates how an Ottoman provincial governor managed to have a stronger military force than the central government and what stages this military innovation went through. In the army structure designed by Mehmet Ali Pasha, the reasons, effects and consequences of the Turkish composition of the senior officers and the establishment of an elite Ottoman ruling elite in Egypt are evaluated. In the first part of the thesis, the events that took place from Mehmet Ali Pasha's coming to power to the time he established his authority are discussed. The second part deals with the military reforms, the Jihadiye armies and Turkish officers. In the last part, the capabilities and changes of the Jihadiye armies in the wars were evaluated, and the activities of Arabi Pasha and the British occupation were explained as a result of the events caused by the Turkish officers.
