Feminist Eleştiri Bağlamında Atıf Yılmaz Filmlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Feminizm, hedefi kadınlarla erkeklere eşit haklar sağlamak olan bir fikir akımıdır. Kadınların sosyal hakları erkeklere göre sınırlı olduğundan, 18. yüzyılın başlarında kadınlar haklarını aramak için bir araya geldiler. Kadınların özgür olması temeline dayanan feminizm, cinsiyetle ilişkisi olduğuna inanılan sorunların analizini yapmayı kendine konu edinir. Yine çoklukla cinsiyet eşitsizliği ve kadınların haklarını, kadınların genel sorunlarını araştırmaya ve çözümlemeye odaklanır. Sinemaya feminist eleştiri perspektifinden bakıldığında; sinemada kadının temel özne konumunda değil, görsel haz nesnesi konumunda olduğu görülmektedir. Feminist kuramdan hareketle yapılan filmlerde sinemada kadının konumuna bakıldığında; 1980 sonrası filmlerin, 1980 öncesi filmlerden çok farklı oldukları görülmektedir. 80 öncesi filmlerde kadın, sosyal hayattan kısıtlanmış, yalnızca evinde var olan, eril (erkek) söylemin istekleri doğrultusunda yaşayan, hiçbir söz hakkı olmayan karakterler olarak karışımıza çıkmaktadırlar. 1980 sonrası yani feminizmin sinemada iyice başat olduğu dönemde, filmlerde cinsiyet sorunlarına değinilir ve kadın toplum içine karışan, sosyal hayatta boy gösteren bir unsur haline gelir. Bu çalışmanın ana konusunu, feminist kuram ve filmlerinde kadın sorunlarını yoğun bir şekilde ele alan yönetmen Atıf Yılmaz oluşturmaktadır.

Feminist is a movement of thought. Its target is to provide equal rights to both men and women. Until the beginning of 18 th century, women’s rights were limited compared to those of men. In that sense, from the beginning of this century, they started to seek for women’s right. Feminism has its roots from the idea of women’s freedom. It focuses on analyzing the elements related to feminism. It also concentrates on searching for and solving general problems of women, gender inequality and women rights. When it is looked from the perspective of feminist criticism to cinema; it is seemed that the woman is on the position of visual pleasure object instead of being the main subject in cinema. In the movies made by the opinion of feminist theory, when the position of women is examined; it is seem that the movies after 1980 are more different than the movies before 1980. In the movies before 1980, woman was shown up as a character that is limited in social life, is just at home, lives based on the wishes of the man, has no right to speak. With the rise of feminism on screen after 1980s, it has been touched upon women problems on screen and woman has started to show themselves on social life. Atıf Yılmaz, a director who tackled successfully the problems of these women in his feminist theory and movies, composed the main subject of work.
