Balıkçıların sadece %1’i gelirinden memnun iken, %70’i getirisinin düşüklüğü nedeniyle gelecekte balıkçılığı bırakmak istediğini belirtmiştir. Gelirlerinin yetersizliği nedeniyle balıkçıların %92’si başka ikinci bir iş yaptıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Avlanan balıkların daha çok komisyoncular vasıtasıyla pazarladıkları anlaşılmıştır.,In this research, it was aimed to determine the socio-economic status of fishermen who caught with fishermen boats registered to Yalova province. Socio-economic structure was determined by analyzing the answers given by the fishermen to the questions on face-to-face interviews with fishermen and the catch statistics obtained from official institutions. In the survey, 80% of the fishermen stated that they were obliged, 18% were the father's profession, and 2% were fishing due to sea passion. It is determined that 87% of the boats used in hunting are smaller than 12 m and 91% of them are wooden boats. None of the fishermen are female, only 8% of them are under age 30. In terms of education level, there is no university graduate fisherman, 75% of whom are high school graduates. Only 1% of fishermen expressed satisfaction with their income, and 70% said they wanted to fish in the future because of the low yield. They stated that 92% of fishermen had another second job due to income failure. It is understood that hunted fish are marketed mostly through commissioners.en_US
