Abstract: The tractate named "Risale fi ma la yecuzu'l-vaqfu 'aleyh" states that stoping inadvertently during prayer will impare the prayer and it states the places when stopped on purpose the person praying like that will become an infidel. It is also stated by Imam Mattiridi that the imaming of anyone who does not know these places is not permissible according to the ijma of scholars. While this treatise is said to belong to Imam Mattiridi in some sources, it is stated otherwise in some others. Ulrich, one of the advocates of the opinion that it does not belong to him, tries to support this view with the claim that the content of the treatise does not comply with the views of Imam Matilda The article examines whether or not the treatise belongs to Imam Matilda It is very important whether the treaty is the works of Imam Matilda who is the founder of the Mattiridi sect, to his sect followers, despite his small size, since it will serve a more accurate understanding of his views. For this reason, firstly, it was determined whether the content of the treatise was in line with the commentary of Imam Mattiridi called Te'vilat. At the same time, the researches by some authors who made researches on Imam Mattiridi were investigated and the bibliography works were checked for whom they were attributed to, and other works on this subject were examined by reaching the manuscripts available in various libraries. The content of the treatise was first examined and its text was identified in Arabic letters, then it was translated into Turkish and evaluated. This research aims to introduce the "Risale fi ma la yectIztil-vakfu' aleyh" tractate and to clarify this issue by evaluating the opinions about whether it belongs to Imam Matilda
