Hayat Bilgisi Ders Kitaplarındaki Metin ve Görsellerin Değerler Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract

Hayat bilgisi dersi, değer eğitiminde temel derslerden biridir.Bu nedenle bu araştırmada 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında MEB’in okutulacak ders kitabı olarak belirlediği özel bir yayınevine ait ilköğretim 3. Sınıf Hayat bilgisi ders kitaplarındaki değerler metinlerle ve görsellerle incelenmiştir.Bu çalışmada, 3.sınıf hayat bilgisi ders kitaplarındaki metin ve görselleri değer perspektifinden incelemek, değerlerin kitapta yer alan kullanım sıklığını tespit etmek ve değerler açısından daha işlevsel kitapların hazırlanmasına katkıda bulunabilmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman inceleme modeli kullanılmıştır.Verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel analiz yöntemi esas alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada NVIVO 10 programı yardımı ile ders kitaplarında bulunan metinler ve resimler analiz edilmiştir. MEB 3.Sınıf Hayat Bilgisi Öğretim Programında öğrencilere kazandırılması hedeflenen 20 değerin ders kitaplarındaki durumu, hazırlanan formdan hareketle incelenmiştir. Metinlerde yer alan değer içerikli ifadeler belirlenmiştir. Görsel ifadelerden değer eğitimi amacı taşıyanlar tespit edilmiştir. İncelemenin sonucunda; sevgi değeri (%13,5), hoşgörü değeri (%13,2), saygı değeri (%13,1), sorumluluk değeri (%8,5), çalışkanlık değeri (%6,7) hayat bilgisi ders kitabında en sık rastlanan değerler olmuştur. sabır değeri(%2,2), bilimsellik değeri (%1,7), doğa sevgisi değeri (%1), estetik değeri (%0,8), misafirperverlik değeri (%0,7) ise en az rastlanan değerlerdir. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre en çok yer alan değer sevgi değeri (%13,5) ve en az yer alan değer ise misafirperverlik (%0,7) değeridir. Elde edilen bulgulara dayanılarak önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

,Life science lesson is one of the basic lessons in value education. For this reason in this research, texts and visuals in primary school 3rd grade Life Science textbooks of a private publishing firm,which was acknowledged by the Ministry of Education in 2016-2017 education year, were examined in terms of value education. In this study, it was aimed to examine the values in third grade life science textbooks, to determine the distributions and ratios of these values, and to contribute to the preparation processes of more functional books in terms of values in future. The document review model which is one of the qualitative research methods was used in the research. In the analysis of the data, descriptive analysis method was taken as basis. Then, the texts and visuals in textbooks were analyzed with NVIVO 10 program. The situation of the 20 valuesintextbooks which are aimed to be given to the students in the 3rd grade life science curriculum was investigated by using the prepared “Value Inspection Form”. First, the value expressions in the texts are determined. Then, those carrying the aim of value education from visual expressions have been identified. As a result of the examination; love value (13,5%), tolerance value (13,2%), respect value (13,1%), responsibility value (8,5%), diligence value (6,7%% were the most frequent ones. patience value (2,2%), scientific value (1,7%), nature love value (1%), aesthetic value (0,8%) and hospitality value (0,7%) are the least common values. According to the study results, the most valuable value is love value (13.5%) and the least value is hospitality (0.7%) value. Based on these findings, suggestions were made at the end
