Bu sebeple Zn eksikliği olan ve tuz stresi yaşanan alanlarda Zn’lu gübreleme yapılmasıyla tuzun olumsuz etkileri azaltılabilir,This study was carried out to examine the effect of zinc (Zn) application on plant growth in Ülkem cowpea cultivar (0, 2.5, 5, 10 mg Zn kg-1 ) at different salt concentrations (0, 25, 50, 100, 200 mM). It was established in Ordu University Faculty of Agriculture as a 3-replication pot experiment in randomized plots according to factorial experimental design. Salt doses were applied when the second true leaves (first compound leaf) appeared in plants. Plant height, number of leaflets, fresh weight above soil, soil Top dry weight, root length, root wet weight, root dry weight, number of nodules, active nodule number, nodule wet weight, nodule dry weight, SPAD value and Zn concentration of the above-ground parts were investigated. As a result of the research, salt stress adversely affected all the parameters of the plants. The first negative effects of salt on plants were observed at a dose of 25 mM. has also increased. Salt x zinc interaction was found to be statistically significant in terms of plant height (p<0.001). When the salt doses were examined separately, it was observed that the zinc doses reduced the negative effects of salt stress on most of the investigated parameters of the plants. For this reason, the negative effects of salt can be reduced by fertilizing with Zn in areas with Zn deficiency and salt stressen_US
