Abstract: | Bu araştırmada, Orta Amerika çiklit balıklarından jaguar çiklit (Parachromis
managuensis Günther, 1867) balığının kontrollü üretim koşulları altında üreme özellikleri
ile embriyo ve larval gelişimi incelenmiştir. Çalışmada 5 çift ergin jaguar çiklit balığı
kullanılmıştır. Anaç balıkların yumurtlaması ve yumurtların embriyonik gelişimi 25±1ºC'de
gerçekleştirilmiştir. Eş tutmuş balıkların yumurtlama işlemi yaklaşık 75-90 dk. sürmüştür.
Yumurta sayısı ortalama 1 236±187.40 adet olarak tespit edilmiştir. Yumurtanın kısa eksen
uzunluğu ortalama 1.47±0.03 mm ve uzun eksen uzunluğu ortalama 1.92±0.05 mm olarak
belirlenmiştir. Yumurta içerisinde larva 25.15-27.30 saatleri arasında net olarak görülmüştür.
Yumurtadan çıkış işlemi 49.40-70.00 saatleri arasında gerçekleşmiştir. Yeni çıkmış larvanın
total boy uzunluğu ortalama 4.02±0.53 mm olarak belirlenmiştir. Larvanın 2. gününde
kırmızı kan dolaşımı ve kafatası kemiği belirgin olarak görülmüştür. Larvanın 4. gününde
ağzın açıldığı, sindirim kanalı ve pektoral yüzgeçlerin oluştuğu gözlenmiştir. Larvanın
serbest yüzmeye başlaması 6. günde gerçekleşmiştir. Larva besin kesesini 10. günde
tüketmiş ve bugünden itibaren Artemia ile beslemeye başlanmıştır. Larvanın 30. günde;
renkleri dışında yüzgeç ve vücut şekli bakımından ebeveynlerinin görünümünü aldığı
belirlenmiştir.,The objective of this study was to examine the reproduction properties along with
embryo and larval development of the jaguar cichlid (Parachromis managuensis
Günther, 1867) fish which is one of the Central America cichlid fish. Five adolescent
jaguar cichlid fish were used in the study. The spawning and embryonic development of the
eggs were carried out at 25±1ºC. Spawning process of paired fish took about 75-90 minutes.
The number of eggs was determined as 1 236±187.40 on average. The short axis length of
the egg was determined on average as 1.47±0.03 mm and the long axis was determined on
average as 1.92±0.05. Larvae were clearly observed inside the egg during 25.15-27.30 hours.
Hatching process occurred between 49.40-70.00 hours. The total length of the newly hatched
larvae were determined on average as 4.02±0.53 mm. Blood circulation and parietal bone
were observed on the 2nd day of the larva. On the 4th day of the larva it was observed that the
mouth opened, digestion channel and pectoral fins formed. Larvae started swimming freely
on the 6th day. Larvae consumed the yolk sac on the 10th day and started feeding on artemia.
On the 30th day, it was determined that the larvae took on the appearance of its parentage in
terms of its fins and body shape but not its colors.
