For this research, qualitative phenomenological research was conducted. The sample of this study consists of 9 mathematics teachers who currently work at high schools in Ordu, Turkey. Data for the research was obtained with in-depth interviews and have been analyzed via qualitative data analysis software NVivo 9. Results show that the opinions of teachers can be classified as follows: "the effectiveness of HSGC", "flaws of HSGC" and "the faith in the success of HSGC". This paper includes precautions inspired by the results and suggestions for further studies.
