Günümüz Dünya Sorunlarına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Abstract

Günümüzde dünyamızı ve yaşadığımız çevremizi etkileyen çok çeşitli sorunlar son yıllarda giderek artış göstermekte ve ülkeler bu konunun önemini ve ciddiyetini zamanla daha çok anlamaktadır. Mevcut sorunlar, insanı ve çevreyi olumsuz etkileyerek ülke sınırlarını aşan, bütün dünyayı ilgilendiren sorunlar haline gelmekte ve insan hayatını, bir çok yönüyle tehdit etmektedir. Bu çalışma, eğitim fakültesinde çeşitli branşlarda eğitim gören öğrencilerin algılarından yararlanarak, günümüz dünya sorunlarına karşı bir tutum ölçeği geliştirmek için yapılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu 2011-2012 bahar yarıyılında Gazi Üniversitesi Gazi Eğitim Fakültesi’nin farklı bölümlerinde 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören toplam 477 öğrencinden oluşturmaktadır. 4. sınıfların seçilme nedeni, bu öğrencilerin günümüz dünya sorunları hakkında bilgilerinin daha fazla olacağı düşüncesidir. Ölçeğin geliştirilme sürecinde ilk önce alanyazın taraması yapılmış ve uzman görüşlerden de yararlanılarak 45 maddelik madde havuzu oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan maddelerin karşısına, beşli likert dereceli seçenekler yerleştirilmiştir. Bu seçenekler; “(1) kesinlikle katılmıyorum”, “(2) katılmıyorum”, (3) kararsızım”, “(4) katılıyorum” ve “(5) kesinlikle katılıyorum” şeklinde düzenlenmiş ve puanlanmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerliğini belirlemek üzere; açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi, madde ayırt edicilik güçleri hesaplanmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenirliğini belirlemek üzere ise iç tutarlılık düzeyi hesaplanmıştır. Bu işlemler sonucunda ölçekte kalan toplam 24 maddenin, üç faktör altında toplandığı görülmüştür. Son hali ile 24 maddelik ölçeğin KMO değerinin 0,936; Bartlett Testi değerlerinin χ2=4721,614; sd=276; p<0,001 olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak günümüz dünya sorunlarına yönelik tutum ölçeğinin, bireylerin bu konudaki düşüncelerini belirlemeye yönelik geçerli ve güvenilir bir araç olduğu söylenebilir.

Today’s’ various problems that affect our environment and our world has increased steadily in recent years and the seriousness and importance of this issue is seen by countries more in time. Existing problems, which effect people and the environment in a negative way, exceeds the limits of the countries and the problems threaten the whole world and human life in many ways. In this study, it was aimed to develop an attitude scale towards the today's world problems’ by the help of perceptions of students who are studying in various fields of education faculty. The working group consists of a total of 477 undergraduate senior students who are studying in 4 different departments of Gazi University, Gazi Faculty of Education during the 2011-2012 spring semester. The reason for choosing senior students is the idea that these students will be more informed about the problems of today's world. In early stages of development of the scale, literature review and expert opinions was conducted before the item pool of 45 items was created. These items were matched to five-degree Likert-grade options. These options are arranged in the form of: “(1) strongly disagree”, “(2) disagree”, (3) not certain “,” (4) agree “and” (5) strongly agree” and then scored. In order to determine the validity of the scale, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were done and item discrimination scores were calculated. In order to determine the level of internal consistency, reliability of the scale was calculated. As a result of these processes, the remaining scale, a total of 24 items, were grouped under three factors. In final form 24-itemed scale KMO was calculated as 0.936; Bartlett test was calculated as χ2 = 4721.614, df was calculated as = 276, and p value is determined as p<0.001. As a result, it can be said that the scale of attitude towards the problems of today's world in order to determine their thoughts on this subject to be a valid and reliable measurement tool.
