Ergenlerde Mutluluk, Öz-Yeterlik, Sosyal Onay İhtiyacı ve Akran İlişkilerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Ergenlik dönemi yetişkin bir birey olma yolunda önemli bir duraktır. Ergenlerin bu dönemi sağlıklı bir şekilde atlatmalarına yardımcı olacak çalışmalar son yıllarda önem kazanmıştır. Bu çalışmada liseye devam eden ergenlerde mutluluğun psikososyal göstergeleri arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yıllarında Ordu il merkezinde eğitimine devam eden 637 lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma grubunda yer alan öğrencilerin yaşları 13 ile 19 arasındadır (X=15.56; Ss=1.19). Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Ergen Mutluluk Ölçeği (EMÖ), Çocuklar İçin Öz- Yeterlik Ölçeği, Akran İlişkileri Ölçeği (AİÖ) ve Sosyal Onay İhtiyacı Ölçeği (SOİÖ) ve demografik özellikleri ölçmek amacıyla hazırlanan Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ilişkisel model kullanılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen veriler 24.00 SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada test edilen değişkenlerin betimleyici istatistiklerine yer verilmiş, değişkenler arası korelasyon analizi ile incelenmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına ergen mutluluğu ile öz-yeterlik, akran ilişkileri ve sosyal onay ihtiyacı arasında, öz-yeterlik ile akran ihtiyacı ve sosyal onay ihtiyacı arasında anlamlı ilişkiler belirlenmiştir. Yapısal Eşitlik Modellemesi (YEM) sonuçlarına göre ergen mutluluğu ve öz- yeterlik arasındaki ilişkide akran ilişkileri ve sosyal onay ihtiyacının kısmi aracı role sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öz-yeterlik, akran ilişkileri ve sosyal onay ihtiyacı, ergen mutluluğunun toplam varyansının %54’ ünü açıklamaktadır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular ilgili literatür doğrultusunda tartışılmış, sonuç ve öneriler ifade edilmiştir.

Adolescent is an important period on the way to become an individual. Studies to help adolescents to cope with this period have gained importance in recent years. In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationships between the psychosocial indicators of happiness in adolescents attending high school. The study group of the research consists of 637 high school students who continue their education in the city center of Ordu in the 2021-2022 academic years. The age of the students in the research group is between 13 and 19 (M=15.56; SD= 1.19) In the study, Adolescent Happiness Scale, Children Self-Efficacy Scale, Peer Relationship Scale, Need for Social Approval Scale and Personal Information Form were used as data collection tools. The correlational model was used in the research. The data obtained from the study were analyzed with the 24.00 SPSS package program. Descriptive statistics of the variables tested in the study were included, and were analyzed by correlation analysis between variables. According to the results of the analysis, significant relationships were determined between adolescent happiness and self-efficacy, peer relations and social approval needs, and between self-efficacy and peer needs and social approval needs. According to the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) results, it was determined that peer relations and the need for social approval had a partial mediating role in the relationship between adolescent happiness and self-efficacy. Self-efficacy, peer relationships, and the need for social approval explain 54% of the total variance of adolescent happiness. The findings obtained from the study were discussed in line with the literature, results and recommendations are expressed
