Covid-19 Salgını Sürecinin Ortaya Çıkardığı Toplumsal Eşitsizlikler Üzerine Sosyolojik Bir Analiz

Abstract

Küreselleşen dünya, az gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde eşitsizliklerin artmasına neden olmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, eşitsizlikler, açlık, yoksulluk gibi toplumsal sorunlar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Küreselleşme ile ortaya çıkan risk toplumu kavramı ile birçok toplumsal sorun ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Bunlardan biri olan pandemiler de toplumsal düzeni tehdit eden bir toplumsal risk faktörüdür. Toplumsal düzeni tehdit eden pek çok şeyin toplumda bir eşitsizlik zemini oluşturduğu görülmektedir. Covid-19 pandemi sürecinin de toplumda eşitsizlikleri attırdığı ve derinleştirdiği bir gerçektir. Özellikle sosyo-ekonomik statüsü düşük olan mavi yakalılar, dezavantajlı gruplar ve yoksullar gibi gruplar pandemi sürecinden daha fazla etkilenmişlerdir. Eşitsizlik Covid-19 sürecinde yoksulun daha da yoksullaşmasına neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Covid-19 pandemisi ve toplumsal eşitsizlikler arasındaki ilişki ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı pandeminin toplumsal eşitsizliği farklı boyutlarıyla nasıl etkilediğinin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Bu çalışma pandeminin eşitsizliği daha görünür hale getirmesi ve nasıl derinleştiğini göstermesi açısından ayrı bir önem taşımaktadır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi ile yapılan bu çalışmada, farklı gruplar için hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu 40 kişiye uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre, sosyo-ekonomik statüsü düşük olanlar, yoksullar ve dezavantajlı grupta yer alan bireyler çalışma hayatının devamı, gelirini koruyabilme, sağlık hizmetlerine erişim, eğitimine devam etme, sosyal yaşam katılım gibi birçok alanda çeşitli sorunlar yaşamış ve eşitsizliği her geçen gün daha fazla hissetmişlerdir.Sonuç olarak pandemi toplumsal eşitsizlikleri hem daha görünür hale getirmiş hem de derinleştirmiştir.

The globalizing world causes increased inequalities in underdeveloped and developing countries. However, social problems arise such as inequalities, hunger and poverty. Many social problems can arise with the concept of risk society that arises with globalization. Pandemies, one of them, is also a social risk factor that threatens social order. It seems that many things that threaten social order form a ground for inequality in society. It is a fact that the Covid-19 pandemic process also throws and deepens inequalities in society. Groups such as blue-collar, disadvantaged groups and the poor, especially those with low socio-economic status, were more affected by the pandemic process. Inequality caused the poor to become even poorer in the Covid-19 process. This study discussed the relationship between the Covid-19 pandemic and social inequalities. The purpose of the study is to reveal how the pandemic affects social inequality with its different dimensions. This work pandemic is of separate importance in terms of making inequality more visible and showing how it deepens. In this study conducted with qualitative research method, the semi-structured interview form prepared for different groups was applied to 40 people. According to the findings of the study, those with low socio-economic status, the poor and individuals in the disadvantaged group continue their working life, be able to protect their income, access to health services, continue their education, They have experienced various problems in many areas such as social life participation and felt inequality more and more day by day. As a result, pandemic has both made social inequalities more visible and deepened.
