Ortaokul 6. Sınıf “Dolaşım Sistemi” Konusunun Öğretiminde İnteraktif Dijital Öyküleme Kullanımın Öğrencilerin Akademik Başarı ve Tutumlarına Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı; interaktif dijital öyküleme (İDÖ) öğretim etkinliği kullanılarak fen bilimleri dersinde 6. sınıf “Dolaşım Sistemi” konusunun öğretilmesinin, öğrencilerin akademik başarı ve tutumlarına etkisini belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada, araştırmanın problem ve alt problemlerine yanıt alabilmek adına nicel araştırma yaklaşımlarından öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Ordu ilinin Altınordu merkez ilçesinde yer alan Durugöl ortaokulunda öğrenim gören farklı şubelerde bulunan öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Durugöl ortaokulunda bir deney, bir kontrol grubu olmak üzere iki grup rastgele seçilerek oluşturulmuştur. Fen ve teknoloji tutum ölçeği ile dolaşım sistemi başarı testi (DSBT), çalışmanın başında öntest ve sonunda sontest olacak şekilde deney ve kontrol gruplarına uygulanmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen verilerin analizinde bağımsız örneklemler t-testi kullanılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, sadece deney grubuna uygulanan interaktif dijital öyküleme (İDÖ) nin öğrencilerin fen bilimleri dersine yönelik başarı ve tutumlarının istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve olumlu yönde arttığı görülmüştür.

The primary purpose of this study is to determine the effect of teaching the 6th grade "Circulatory System" subject in a science lesson on students' academic achievement and attitudes by using interactive digital storytelling (IDS) teaching activity. In this study, a quasi-experimental design with the pretest-posttest control group, one of the quantitative research approaches, was used to get answers to the problems and sub-problems of the research. The study group of the research consists of students from different branches studying at Durugöl secondary school located in Altınordu central district of Ordu province in the 2021-2022 academic year. Two groups, one experimental group, and one control group, were randomly selected in Durugöl secondary school. The science and technology attitude scale and circulatory system achievement test (DSBT) were applied to the experimental and control groups as a pretest at the beginning of the study and a posttest at the end. Independent samples t-test was used to analyze the data obtained from the study. As a result, it has been seen that the interactive digital storytelling (IDS) applied only to the experimental group increases the success and attitudes of the students towards the science course statistically significantly and positively.
