Hüseyin Nihal Atsız’ın Millet ve Medeniyet Anlayışı

Abstract

Hüseyin Nihal Atsız, Türk milliyetçiliği fikrinin en güçlü temsilcilerinden biridir. O bir ilim adamı, şair, tarihçi, romancı ve düşünür olarak Türk ülküsünün mücadelesini düşünce ve aksiyon planında vermiş bir şahsiyettir. Buna rağmen, Hüseyin Nihal Atsız’ın düşüncelerinin ülkemizde hakkıyla ve yeterince değerlendirildiğini söylemek bir hayli zordur. Bu yüzden, Atsız`ın felsefi temeli de olan bilhassa Türk, Türklük, Irk-ırkçılık, millet, İslam ve medeniyet konularındaki görüşlerinin uygun bir yaklaşımla ve felsefî dille ele alınması önemli olmaktadır. Sözgelimi çalışmamızın temel kavramlarından biri olan “Türklük” kavramına Atsız`ın verdiği anlam, bir kavmin biyolojik köklerinin ötesine taşan bir boyuta sahiptir. Dolayısıyla, Atsız`ın bir ırkçı olduğu iddiası tartışmaya açık bir konu olduğu gibi Atsız’ın Turancılık fikri de, gerçekleşmesi mümkün güçlü bir medeniyet ideali önermektedir. Bu nedenle çalışmamız kapsamında Hüseyin Nihal Atsız‟ın medeniyet ve toplum görüşleri baz alınarak yapılacak incelemeler ile çağdaş Türk-İslam düşüncesinde yanlış anlaşılmış ve çarpıtılmış birçok fikri tartışmaya açılacaktır.

Hüseyin Nihal Atsız is one of the strongest representatives of the idea of Turkish nationalism. As a scientist, poet, historian, novelist and thinker, he is a distinguished person who has given the fight of the Turkish ideal in the plan of thought and action. However, the ideas of Hüseyin Nihal Atsız have not been sufficiently evaluated in our country. For this reason, it is important that Atsız's views on Turkish, Turkishness, Race-racism, nation, Islam and civilization, which are also his philosophical basis, are addressed with an appropriate approach and philosophical language. For example, the meaning given by Atsız to the concept of “Turkishness”, which will be one of the basic concepts of our study, has a dimension that goes beyond the biological roots of a tribe. Therefore, just as the claim that Atsız is a racist is an open subject for discussion, Atsız's idea of Turanism also suggests a strong civilization ideal that can be realized. In contemporary Turkey, it is obvious that these issues have not been adequately researched in direct proportion to the importance they have. For this reason, within the scope of our study, many misunderstood and distorted ideas in contemporary Turkish-Islamic thought will be discussed with the examinations to be made based on Hüseyin Nihal Atsız's views on civilization and society.
